What we are learning about this Term?
Autumn Term 1 2026- Wild Woods
Our new topic for term one is Wild Woods. In English this term, we will be reading “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson! We will be sequencing the story and writing a character description where we will use exciting adjectives to describe all of the Gruffalo’s features. In Maths we will begin by consolidating our number knowledge to 10 before learning about finding one more and one less than a given number. In Geography we will be putting our observational skills to the test by describing the location of places and objects found within our Academy grounds as well as in the wider community as well. In Art our new focus artist is Andy Goldsworthy who uses nature to create art. In DT we will be studying nests and dens made by animals to see how they are joined together!
