We are a class of Year 1 and 2  children. We are taught by Mrs Ailsby.

What we are learning about this Term?

Summer Term 2  2026- Beside the Seaside

The seaside is home to the great ocean and sandy beaches! This term we will be looking at all things related to the seaside. In English we will be reading the story of “The Storm Whale” by Benji Davies as well as our new class story called “Puffin Keeper” by Micheal Morpurgo. We will be writing a setting description of a wordless story by the name of “Flotsam” as well as writing a recount of a school trip. In art we will be exploring the different effects of using different tools when painting, as well as crafting a moving picture in DT with working mechanisms. In maths we will be learning to tell the time using analogue clocks and consolidating addition and subtraction methods we have learned previously. In RE we will be learning all about what sacred texts are and why they matter.
