Children from across the Trust recently took part in an exciting orienteering festival at Holbech Primary Academy, where they developed key navigation skills such as map reading and route planning. The pupils engaged in a range of problem-solving activities, working collaboratively to communicate ideas and support one another. They also participated in a variety of team-based orienteering challenges and relays, showing enthusiasm, resilience and strong teamwork throughout. The event provided a valuable opportunity for outdoor learning, combining physical activity with skill development in a fun and engaging environment.

Pupils at Holbeach Bank Academy and Holbeach Primary Academy created a fantastic floral display for this weekend’s flower festival at Holbeach All Saints Church with the theme of athletics.  We are super proud of their creativity.

We have had some exciting additions to our academy’s outdoor learning area this term. One of our hens has successfully hatched four healthy chicks, which has created lots of enthusiasm across the academy. The children are enjoying helping to care for the hen and her chicks, learning about responsibility, kindness, and the life cycle through hands-on experience. Alongside this, we have also welcomed new fish into our pond, giving pupils further opportunities to observe nature and understand the importance of caring for living things. These experiences are enriching our curriculum and bringing our academy environment to life.

J has shown outstanding commitment in his boxing gym, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and resilience. In recognition of his hard work and determination, he was proudly awarded his belt. Well done, J — it’s fantastic to see your dedication paying off.

S earned a certificate from Boston Football Club in recognition of his skill, effort, and hard work on the pitch. A brilliant achievement — well done, S!

Y3 and Y4 RE Trip

As part of their RE they have been exploring the concept of community. They had a visit to the All Saints church, where Mikki talked about her work within the community and how it links to the church.

Our KS2 children celebrated Christmas with a joyful service, sharing the story of Christmas through beautiful songs, heartfelt prayers, and captivating performances.

Christmas Concert 2025

After our wonderful Christmas concert, we have recorded it so that you can enjoy it again

Comic Relief

We are delighted to share that we raised £128 for Comic Relief this year! Everyone got involved by wearing something red, filling the school with colour and kindness.

As part of the fun, we also practised our best jokes to help spread smiles and laughter throughout the day. On top of that, we took on a series of Taskmaster-style challenges, showing fantastic creativity, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a brilliant success!

Our academy was full of excitement as pupils and staff celebrated World Book Day dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing much-loved stories to life. Children brought in their favourite books and enjoyed sharing them with others across the academy, discovering new stories and authors along the way.

Pupils also set themselves a personal reading challenge, choosing goals that inspired them—whether trying a new genre or reading more often. We also launched our whole-academy reading challenges to encourage a continued love of reading throughout the term.

World Book Day was a wonderful reminder of how books spark imagination, creativity, and connection within our school community.

We were delighted to take part in the Christmas Tree Festival! Our tree was themed around school life, and the children created unique decorations using everyday school materials, showcasing their creativity and imagination
