On Friday 17th October the children in Magnolia class participated in a workshop where they worked with the organisation Transported to produce stain glass windows.  The children were provided with bright plastic sheets and chalk pens to create different images as part of the Journey of Light celebration combined within the 800 Years Celebration of All Saints Church.  On Sunday 2nd November there was a service at All Saints displaying the pupils wonderful work.  It was great to see so many HPA pupils as part of the Church Choir and other families that joined the service proud of the work they had produced.  The display of this work will remain in the church until December so please visit.

This year’s Harvest Festival was a joyful and heartfelt celebration of gratitude, creativity, and community spirit. The hall was filled with the sounds of singing, poetry, prayer, and drama as we came together to mark this special time of year.

A big thanks for all donations and for Mikki to come in and join us.

Our academy will be taking part in a poetry competition as part of the nationwide celebration of National Poetry Day. This year, National Poetry Day is on Thursday, 2nd October.

Our competition, titled “I have a Dream,” will give every KS2 pupil a chance to write their own poem. On Thursday, 2nd October, all pupils will spend time in class writing and exploring this important theme. We’ll be encouraging them to think about their own hopes and dreams for the future and how they can express those thoughts through creative language.

The best part of this competition is the potential for your child to become a published author! The winning poems from our academy will be submitted, where they will be judged alongside thousands of other entries from across the country. A selection of the best poems will be chosen for publication in a book

EYFS and KS1 enjoyed a performance from the Town Band as part of their topics.
