The Annual General Meeting of the Holbeach Primary PTFA took place on Monday 15th October 2018.

Below is an introduction from the new Chairman, Mr Tim Newell.

I am writing to introduce myself as the new Chairman of the PTFA. My name is Tim Newell and I am a parent of children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, having been involved with the school over the past six years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have been involved in the PTFA in the past few years – they have done an amazing job in raising funds that have benefitted our children, in particular Darran Fidler who has been involved for many years, and has until recently been Chairman.

The PTFA have held many fundraising activities over recent years, raising a significant sum of money. I hope that we can, both as a PTFA and as a school, continue this over the next year.

The PTFA Committee has changed this year, in that it is now primarily run by parents, with continuing strong links into the teaching staff. We all have one common goal – to make the school a better place for our children.

Put simply, we cannot do this alone. We need your help. We not only need you to support our events, but to make suggestions and to take part in working together to achieve more. Is there something you think we, as a PTFA, should be looking to fundraise for? Do you have an idea for a fundraiser? If so, we want to know.

We hope to shortly launch a PTFA Facebook group so we can keep you all up-to-date with events, and will let you know once this is up and running.

Thankyou for your continuing support

Tim Newell
