Autumn Term 2
Our second topic of the year begins with a mini topic of Fallen Fields (WW1). We will be finding out about the conditions soldiers had to endure in the trenches and the huge scale of human loss. What started this global tragedy? How was a fragile peace finally achieved?
Then a siren sounds, a building crumbles, a Spitfire zooms overhead. Take cover! It's 1939 and Britain is again at war. Deep down in the Anderson shelter, we will learn why nations are fighting and why child evacuees must make the long journey from their homes and families into unknown territory.
