Important Things You Need To Know
Welcome to Oak Tree Class!
Update for Term 5 2018- PE days remain the same as stated below. With the new launch of house points across the school, children will earn house points for each time that they read outside of school so please ensure diaries are updated regularly and signed by an adult. House points are also awarded for prompt and complete homework.
We continue in Term 5 with Thursday (outdoor weather permitting) and Wednesday (indoor) as our PE days. All pupils are expected to participate in PE lessons and have the appropriate kit. As the weather changes your child will be encouraged to have both tracksuit bottoms and a jumper as well as shorts and a sunhat for outdoor PE. If your child wears earrings please ensure that these are removed or covered for these days. All long hair should be tied back please.
Homework and Reading Diaries
Please see our Homework page to find information on handing in days, etc. Documents will be uploaded weekly so that you can access homework at all times.
All pupils have received a new reading diary for the year along with a reading book. These diaries need to be returned to school everyday along with their reading book. When your child is heard in school this will be recorded in their diary. Please record in the diary whenever your child reads at home - remember this can be any reading not just their school book. Every Thursday diaries will be kept in school in order for a note to be recorded about your child's week.
Parents/ Carers are requested to sign the diary each week. The diary is also another method you can pass on messages about your child, especially if collection arrangements are different.
