Welcome to Class 6 - Y3/4
Class Teacher: Mr Clive Green
Welcome back from our Spring Holiday break! We have a new topic this term called Gods and Mortals. This is a topic with a History focus, with the children looking at aspects of ancient and modern Greece. Music has a drum theme this term. Our English will look at story writing through Myths and Legends, playscripts and diaries. Maths will revisit using and applying calculation strategies, as well as aspects linked to the topic theme. We are having a Science Week during week commencing 13th June, where we are investigating worms! PSHE will involve the children considering ideas and strategies for resolving differences. Geography will investigate human and physical features of Greece. We will also continue our study of the French language. Our PE this term involves Athletic activities, linking to the 2016 Rio Olympics and how the Olympics began in Greece. We also have 2 sports days. Our first School Games Day on Friday 10th June and our traditional Sports Day on 7th July.
So our final term of this year is going to be a busy and exciting one!
The Year 4 children in Class 6 will be swimming on Mondays 13th June, 27th June, 4th July and 11th July. NOT 20th June.

A big thank you and well done for all the hard work, time and support you have given your children with their EASTER Homework. I hope you have enjoyed doing them as much as I have enjoyed hearing about how they were made. Our class WOW WALL is now full of fantastic children's work. Have a look at the pictures below of the brilliant work.
A BIG WELL DONE to all the children who produced such fantastic pieces of homework about the NETHERLANDS following our European Day of Languages at school. Many thanks to the parents who spent time and provided resources to support their children with this project. Here are some pictures of the fabulous pieces of artwork, models and information.
