Welcome back from our final half term break for this academic year.  We are hoping that the weather will be kind to use this half term to help all of our seeds and vegetables to grow and for the chickens we have reared to get the most from being outside in their new home.  The children will be looking at our final topic this term, "Why do Ladybirds Have Spots?" where we will be engaging in minibeast hunts and comparing the homes and habitats they cone from.  We will also be exploring different life cycles such as the butterfly and frog.  The children will be completing transition activities and sessions with their new teachers this term as well as participating in Sports Days.  We are excited about all of the learning we will be exploring this term but don't want the weeks to fly by too soon!!!

The time has flown so fast!! Can't believe that this is going to be our final week together as a class.  The children will be continuing their learning this week by looking at 'The Crunching Munching Caterpillar' in English work and consolidating those tricky exception words so we can read and spell them more accurately.  They will be looking at money work and problem solving in maths and completing some transition work in topic ready for new classes in September.  We have both enjoyed every minute we have spent with our classes this year and wish them luck and success as they enter Year 1 and Year 2.  Well done you have been brilliant!!!
