Today we updated our class webpage. We added photos of our funky robots and of our European Day homework. We also decided to start an online blog that we will update every Friday.
Don't forget to come back next week for the latest news.

We all enjoyed our half term holiday. We all did lots of enjoyable things, from going on holiday to halloween fancy dress parties to trick or treating.
When we came back to school our topic display had changed, from Mighty Metals to The Romans.
We hope you all had a lovely half term. We will be updating this Blog every Friday.

This week in maths we have been learning the column method of addition. We even went into the thousands! We carried over the units to the tens, tens to hundreds and hundreds to thousands - by McKenzie
In science we tested different magnets to try and find out which was the strongest. We did this by making paper-clip chains from the magnets. We recorded our results - Lilly M & Phoebe.
Finally, in our French this week we played games and sang a song to help us learn the days of the week.
Wednesday 9th December
In maths we have been looking at column method subtraction. We had to 'borrow' from the tens so that we could subtract the units. Cameron & Lilly W
Over the last two weeks we wanted to see what would happen when we put copper coins into different liquids. The liquids were vinegar, water, lemon juice and coke. We found that the acid in the lemon juice, coke and vinegar reacted with the copper coin and made the coin look all shiny, bright and new. Connor & class 7.
In English we have been writing play script. We looked at the features of a script, and we then wrote our own, based on the story of Romulus and Remus. We also acted it out and typed our scripts on the computer. Aron

As we returned to school, we welcome three new children to Class 7. Oliver, Luke and Summer. We hope you enjoy your time with us.
Our new topic is Scrumdiddlyumptious, and we have already started to look at the history of chocolate. In 1502 Columbus, an explorer, set off and came across some cocoa beans. He brought them back to England and gave them to the Queen. A hot drink was made using the beans - the very first hot chocolate!

This week we have two maths tests and a reading comprehension test. Yesterday was World Book Day and we came into school in fancy dress as our favourite book character. We also went into Class 3 to share our favourite books with them. In PE, we created a game in orienteering, where we had to guide a partner around the playground whilst they had their eyes closed.
